KEEPING YOU SAFE
As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we are making adjustments so that we can continue to serve those in need as well as maintain a safe environment for our workers, volunteers and guests.
We started with the adjustment to our Thursday food pantry operation as we are pre-packaging grocery bags and distributing them to our guests. This minimizes large crowds and allows us to work with pantry clients on an individual basis, as needed. Secondly, for Table of Hope we are giving out carry out containers. We are not having sit down meals at this time. Our hours of operation for the Food Pantry (2-4:45pm) & Table of Hope (5:30-7pm) remain the same.
For our SOAR tutoring and leadership academy programs, they have been suspended beginning 3/16 through 4/17.
Spring Street CDC wants to ensure the safety of our valued volunteers, our guests and our employees as best as possible. We believe these adjustments will help us to minimize exposures and potential risks associated with COVID-19.
Many have asked how they can assist us. As we make adjustments to meet the ever changing circumstances, it is difficult to know what exactly will be needed. The best way to assist us at this time is by making a donation through our website www.springstreetcdc.org. Financial donations will allow us to get the food and supplies we need, when we need them, and get them to our guests as quickly as possible.
While a donation is best for us so that we can adjust to the changes quickly and effectively, we would also greatly appreciate assistance with the following supply needs:
- 3 compartment carry-out containers
- Pan liners
- Grocery bags (preferably reusable/recyclable but will take plastic bags)
- Cleaning products-bleach, pine-sol, Clorox wipes
- Hand sanitizer-at least 60% alcohol
- Hand soap
- Paper towels
- Hair nets
We truly value your support and will continue to keep you apprised of the adjustments we are making to ensure a safe environment.
